Polis (AGPT) was founded in 1977 to provide a forum for publication to scholars specializing in what was then a neglected sub-field – ancient Greek political thought. In the years since, Polis has expanded its coverage to include Hellenistic and Roman political thought. Over the years Polis evolved into a fully-fledged academic journal that publishes material of interest to those who study ancient Greek and Roman political thought broadly understood, whether they do so as classicists, ancient historians, philosophers, intellectual historians, or political scientists.

希臘城邦（AGPT）成立于1977年，為專門研究當時被忽視的子領域——古希臘政治思想的學者提供出版論壇。在此后的幾年里，Polis的報道范圍擴大到包括希臘和羅馬的政治思想。多年來，Polis逐漸發(fā)展成為一份成熟的學術期刊，出版那些研究廣泛理解的古希臘和羅馬政治思想的人感興趣的材料，無論他們是作為古典主義者、古代歷史學家、哲學家、知識歷史學家還是政治學家。

Polis由Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana出版商出版，收稿方向涵蓋CLASSICS全領域，此刊是中等級別的SCI期刊，所以過審相對來講不是特別難，但是該刊專業(yè)認可度不錯，仍然是一本值得選擇的SCI期刊 。平均審稿速度 7 Weeks ，影響因子指數(shù)0.3，該期刊近期沒有被列入國際期刊預警名單，廣大學者值得一試。
