Humanitas Portugal is an academic journal with a long history. Since its inception, it has been the oldest journal in Portugal dedicated to the study of Greek, Latin, and Renaissance classical studies. It also maintains an open attitude towards contributions from interdisciplinary fields such as history, archaeology, philosophy, religion, art, rhetoric, and classical studies.

This journal is open to scholars and researchers both domestically and internationally, accepting submissions in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian, and French. With the increasing internationalization of journals, they are more inclined to publish English articles. The types of articles published in Humanitas Portugal include professional research and critical reviews of works published in the past 2 years. Professional research articles will undergo blind review by international experts, while the acceptance of review articles is determined by the journal editorial board.
